Job description

As Client Executive, you are responsible for delivering the day-to-day requirements of the client-servicing team. Reporting to the Manager, you will manage the implementation of communication plans, coordinate internal and external discussions between the agency and the client, and develop the mandatory recap, media monitoring, and performance reports within the prescribed period. In addition, you will support your manager in developing new business initiatives for the clients you manage.

Responsibilities:

Account Management

  • Serve as day-to-day point of contact for your clients

  • Manage internal and external coordination between the agency and the client 

  • Prepare media monitoring, meeting recap, and month-end performance reports

  • Ensure all agency deliverables are approved by account lead before submission

  • Build and cultivate relationships with the media and other relevant stakeholders

Client Management & Strategic Counsel

  • Understand the client’s industry (e.g. competitor analysis, industry issues and trends)

  • Understand the media landscape (e.g. knowing top media titles/journalists relevant to clients)

  • Contribute strategic and creative inputs for clients’ communications programmes during planning and strategy sessions and WIP meetings

  • Monitor and flag emerging and potential industry issues relevant to client; subsequently work with account manage team on response management (if required)

  • Assist in media training and pre-interview briefing of clients

Content Development

  • Develop editorial content and briefing materials (e.g. press releases, media FAQs, media briefing materials, client briefing books, presentation decks, speeches/talking points, editorial calendar, social/digital content)

  • Adapt and customize editorial content for different audiences and formats (e.g. from interview soundbytes to a feature article or byline)

  • Develop editorial content relevant to the client’s industry and the target media (e.g. strong pitch, headline, caption)

  • Ensure all editorial content and relevant materials related to the client are updated and saved in their respective Box folders

Job requirements

  • Must have a university degree in management, communication, marketing, or a related field

  • Must have at least 3-6 months of internship experience or 6-12 months of full-time experience in the industry (agency side is a plus)

  • Must have good verbal and written communications skill and is comfortable speaking in public, working in a fast-paced environment and taking charge and ownership of responsibilities
