Job description

As Associate/Director, you will oversee day-to-day account management of engaged partners (local & regional) of the Philippine team. Working with the team, you will manage and keep track of agency deliverables, ensuring quality and timeliness across all submissions. You will also support business development programs and thought-leadership initiatives of PRecious Communications in the Philippines.

Responsibilities
Account Management

  • Serve as day-to-day account lead, managing senior-level partners, and correspondence across internal & external teams 

  • Manage scope of work and keep track of agency deliverables, to ensure profitability and prevent over-servicing of across all teams 

  • Provide senior-level oversight to mitigate potential issues involving client, budget, scope, or ad hoc requests throughout the duration of the engagement 

  • Review and sign-off on all required output and materials for submission, to ensure quality and timeliness across all agency deliverables 

Client Management & Strategic Counsel

  • Provide senior-level counsel to build client trust and encourage growth of the business

  • Develop long-term strategic communication plans, ensuring alignment & integration with the clients’ business objectives or reputational goals  

  • Develop senior-level client programmes that support the brand’s positioning and thought-leadership initiatives, prepare recommendations to forestall or capitalise on emerging PR or industry trends and/or issues 

  • Conduct internal & external work-in-progress (WIPs) meetings to ensure that the servicing team is meeting, if not exceeding, client expectations 

  • Conduct media training or spokesperson briefing of senior-level clients when possible 

Editorial & Content Development

  • Oversee and manage the quality of editorial and content development, including but not limited to press releases, media alerts, pitch notes, briefing books, and other relevant materials specified in the scope of work 

  • Support high-level content development, including but not limited to thought-leadership features and by-line articles attributed to PRecious Communications or engaged partners, and case studies for business development  


Team Work and Management

  • Support the Country Lead of the Philippines by keeping track of the Philippine team’s output and deliverables, and escalate potential issues and conflicts with internal & external teams only when necessary

  • Support management of the team and engaged clients with minimal supervision, ensuring satisfaction across all internal & internal teams 

  • Support the professional and emotional welfare of team members, and help improve team dynamics

  • Assist with recruitment of new talent and growth of the team, providing recommendations for potential candidates, and conducting senior-level interviews

  • Proactively improve and further leadership skills, setting development goals with direct manager, for career advancement within the agency

  • Conduct training and sharing sessions with internal teams, in-market, or cross-market

Business Development & Management

  • Grow existing client businesses, aiming for contract renewal and increased scope of work across retainer & ad hoc projects 

  • Support new business pitches, managing quality and timeliness of output contributed by the Philippine team, and strategizing for proposals and presentations

  • Support business planning of the local team, providing professional inputs from the day-to-day operations and management of key partners 

  • Support and improve operational and financial performance of team, providing inputs to potential growth areas of the Philippine team 

Job requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in public relations, with a strong preference for agency experience.

  • Proven experience in managing and growing client accounts, with a focus on both B2B and B2C sectors.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.  

  • A passion for the public relations industry and a desire to stay abreast of industry trends.

  • Experience with media monitoring and social media analytics tools.

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
