Job description

As an Associate Director, you play a pivotal role in the success of PRecious Communications. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and strong leader with proven experience in managing client accounts, developing and executing integrated communications campaigns, and contributing to the overall growth of the agency.

Responsibilities

Account Management & Client Leadership

  • Lead the development and execution of communications strategies for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring alignment with client business objectives.

  • Serve as the primary client contact, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with senior-level decision-makers.

  • Provide strategic counsel to clients on their communications challenges and opportunities, identifying key messages and target audiences.

  • Oversee all aspects of client projects and retainers, including budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.

  • Ensure client satisfaction and proactively address any concerns or issues.

  • Develop and present compelling proposals and presentations to win new business.

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans, including media relations, social media, influencer marketing, content marketing, and crisis communication strategies.

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis to identify key trends and opportunities in the communications landscape.

  • Monitor media coverage and analyze campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights to clients.

  • Proactively identify and respond to emerging issues and opportunities that may impact clients' reputations.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and mentor junior team members, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

  • Contribute to the recruitment and onboarding of new talent.

  • Conduct internal training sessions and knowledge sharing sessions.

Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing client accounts and through proactive market research.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key industry influencers and media contacts.

  • Contribute to the development of new business proposals and presentations.



Job requirements

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in public relations, with a strong preference for agency experience.

  • Proven experience in managing and growing client accounts, with a focus on both B2B and B2C sectors.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • A passion for the public relations industry and a desire to stay abreast of industry trends.

  • Experience with media monitoring and social media analytics tools.

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
