Job description
PRecious Communications is looking for a motivated and driven Senior Client Executive to join our Vietnam team. This position will be based in Ho Chi Minh City. You will work closely with our client services and leadership teams to advise and deliver integrated PR and digital communications programmes for B2B, B2C, technology and start-up clients in a fast-moving environment.
This role is suited to a strong agency professional who is ready to take greater ownership of accounts, contribute to client strategy, and support the development of junior team members, while growing your career in a regional, award-winning communications consultancy.
Overview
As a Senior Client Executive, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of assigned client accounts, ensuring high-quality execution of communications programmes in line with PRecious Communications’ standards. You are also expected to support and contribute to business development activities.
You should own a strong network of media relations across verticals. Pitching our client stories to media and other influencers, as well as monitoring the outcomes of our campaigns for our clients, is part of your daily routine. You will work closely with colleagues across practices and markets, supporting both traditional PR and digital programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management
Serve as the day-to-day contact for assigned clients and act as a client lead where appropriate.
Manage daily account operations, including project planning, timelines and deliverables, to ensure all work is completed on schedule, within scope and to a consistently high quality standard.
Coordinate internal teams across markets and practices, and manage external partners and vendors (such as designers, photographers, event agencies and other suppliers) to ensure seamless delivery of client programmes.
Support budget tracking, costing research and basic financial administration for accounts, and proactively identify and help resolve any emerging client, project or budget-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
Prepare accurate, well-structured and timely client and internal reports, with appropriate review and approval from the account lead.
Support the planning, coordination and execution of client events, media activities and integrated campaign activations.
Media & Stakeholder Relations
Conduct proactive media and influencer pitching for assigned clients and campaigns.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with journalists, influencers and relevant stakeholders across key sectors.
Manage media monitoring and prepare media clippings and coverage reports.
Support the account team in managing media, influencer and event engagements to ensure smooth delivery.
Client Management & Strategy Counsel
Support research on client business, competitors, industry trends and relevant media and journalists for campaigns and media training programmes.
Assist the preparation and delivery of client media training sessions.
Contribute strategic and creative inputs to clients’ PR and communications programmes, proposals and client presentations, and actively participate in client meetings where appropriate.
Provide client counsel, proactively build client trust and relationships through sound advice, reliability and a strong understanding of client objectives.
Monitor and proactively flag to the account team and directors any emerging reputational, industry and media issues, as well as potential risks and opportunities relevant to clients.
Prepare comms programme or project evaluation reports at appropriate interval.
Content Development
Research and support the development of communications materials, including press releases, FAQs, media briefs, client briefing documents, presentation decks, social and digital content, speeches, talking points, message frameworks and editorial calendars.
Adapt and tailor content for different audiences, markets and channels.
Develop strong story angles, headlines and pitches that appeal to media and target audiences.
Apply narrative and composition skills to communicate messages clearly and effectively.
Business Development
Proactively identify and develop potential new business leads
Attend relevant networking and relationship-building events
Work with account teams to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities
Contribute in business development pitches and undertake research/intelligence gathering
Job requirements
Requirements
At least 3 years of relevant experience in a PR or communications, preferably with regional agency, with a minimum of 2 years in an account servicing role.
You need to be currently based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Strong experience in media relations, with an established network of media contacts across key verticals
Strong understanding of the Vietnam and regional media landscape, with the ability to effectively pitch and place stories with target media.
Solid content development experience for B2B and/or B2C clients.
Good understanding of both traditional and digital / social media channels and how they support integrated communications programmes.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and stakeholders in a fast-paced agency environment.
Excellent written and spoken English, with strong presentation and communication skills.
A collaborative team player who is comfortable working across markets, practices and disciplines.
Additional skills such as basic design, photography, videography, Google Analytics or social media analytics tools are an advantage.
