Senior Manager/Associate Director, Public Relations (Indonesia)

  • On-site
    • Jakarta, Jawa, Indonesia

Job description

What You Will Own/Roles and Responsibility

  • P&L and business management - Manage budgets, margins, and forecasting for your portion of the portfolio. Make resourcing and pricing decisions with full visibility into the numbers, not just the creative output.

  • People leadership - Manage and develop a team of consultants directly, including performance conversations, career development, and capacity planning. Share responsibility for hiring decisions and team structure as the office grows.

  • Client and account leadership - Hold senior relationships on a subset of our retainer clients, with the credibility to be the strategic counsel in the room, not just the delivery lead. Step in on escalations and high stakes moments.

  • Business development and network - Bring an existing network of relationships that can open doors independently of the agency's existing client base. Lead proposals and pitches from first conversation to signed contract, across sectors, not only through personal or CSO connections.

  • Strategic counsel - Apply structured thinking including understanding how integrated communications are being measured through PESO model, AMEC measurement, GEO (SXO) capability to solve client problems, and be a credible voice in new business conversations at the CMO or founder level.

What We Offer

  • Full ownership of a real book of business and a real team, not a management title without authority

  • A seat at the table on office strategy, hiring, and growth direction

  • A regional platform: exposure to PRecious offices and clients across Southeast Asia

Job requirements

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 8 years of experience in PR, communications, or a closely related advisory field, with clear progression into senior client, people, and commercial leadership

  • Agency experience is required: firsthand experience running accounts, teams, resources, and new business inside an agency environment

  • Experience serving both Indonesian and international or regional clients, with strong local grounding and genuine comfort operating with regional or global stakeholders

  • Strong commercial literacy: comfortable with budgets, margins, utilization, and forecasting. Formal P&L ownership is preferred, not required

  • An existing network capable of originating and converting new business directly, not only managing pitches that come through the agency

  • Proven people management experience, including performance management and development of junior to mid-level staff

  • Comfort operating as a peer to senior client stakeholders: founders, C suite, or government counterparts

  • Strong written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia especially in business settings

Nice to Have

  • Consumer or brand experience that complements our existing strength in corporate and B2B work

  • Exposure to digital, social, or campaigns led by influencers and key opinion leaders (KOL)

  • Exposure to regional or APAC client management, beyond domestic Indonesian accounts

  • A clear point of view on where integrated communications, measurement (preferably understanding, output, outcome and impact), and AI are heading for the industry
